9. Use Equations to Drive Model Dimensions. Models can be driven by equations! For certain industries and cases, models are made proportionally relative to the overall model size. Equations inside of SOLIDWORKS allow …
Step 2: The Curve Drive Pattern PropertyManager displays when you create a new curve-driven pattern feature or when you edit an existing curve-driven pattern feature. The PropertyManager controls the following properties: Direction 1: The pattern axis can pick an object in the graphics area.It could be an axis, circular edge, linear edge, linear sketch line, cylindrical face or surface ...
As DriveWorks automatically generates models this is something that needs to be overcome. Create the gauge table in DriveWorks: Locate the gauge table currently in use. This is usually stored in C:Program FilesSOLIDWORKSSOLIDWORKSlang countrySheet Metal Gauge Tables. When using a custom table it can be located by editing the sheet metal ...
If I add the smart dimension, then I have an option to make it driven. But it doesn't drive anyway. So, is the driving/driven feature something that only applies to given skecth - or does its domain apply across the whole drawing/file? Or is the feature order limiting factor that earlier features can't be driven by later features in element tree?
Start SolidWorks in Part mode. Step 2: Top Plane>>Sketch. Step 3: Draw a circle of 70mm diameter. Step 4: Extrude it by 100mm. Step 5: Select chamfer tool. Step 6: Select both edge and chamfer it by 5mm at 45º. Step 7: …
There is another way. Make a water part of desired amount of water in your profile of bottle. Then create new part. insert a part of water in new part, make a bottle - you must position a part, make a intersect line with inserted part, and make a body of bottle and add glass material for bottle- then you can weight a bottle and amount of water in it.
Drive dimensions using global variables. For example, D1@Extrude1 = "Height". Share global variables among models. Configure global variables.

In the graphics area, right-click and click Sketch Dimension Driven . In the graphics area, right-click and click Add Dimension . Sketch an entity. When you create a sketch entity, driven dimensions are inserted. Search 'Inserting Driven Dimensions' in the SOLIDWORKS …
Near the top left corner of the screen, click the Sketch bar, as shown. This will start a sketch where a 2D cross section of the funnel is created. Up and to the right are the drawing tools. Click the arrow next to the line.
There are many ways to build a SOLIDWORKS part document. The strongest foundation in creating a good SOLIDWORKS solid model is a sketch. SOLIDWORKS World is always a great place to pick up some useful techniques that many users take for granted. A couple of SOLIDWORKS tips that can be very helpful in creating a sketch are:

$begingroup$ I've investigated - it don't understand why, but when the custom property points at a global variable, it doesn't seem to show the evaluated value...The workaround for this, is to point the custom property to a …

Day after day our support team reports the same thing over and over. Many SOLIDWORKS users are working in one of the most inefficient ways possible. What is that way? Working directly from a shared network drive. I …
However, if you are experiencing long regen times as a result of the many features then I would suggest you make a large screen as its own part and then save it as a parasolid. This will make it a very detailed, dumb, fast part that you can then pull into an assembly and cut to size. (Sort of like the real world. Cool!)
There are two schools of thought when relating parts to each other in a Solidworks assemblies. 1) Create all your parts within the context of the assembly so that all the parts update when a change is made. 2) Or create all the parts individually so that when a change is made you can see how it is going to effect the other surrounding parts.
